CPF STUDENTS' MANUAL
MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
To the CPF Parents and Students,
The Center for the Positive Futures is on its 6th schoolyear. Around 300 high school students have graduated from our school system, which started in Loyola Heights, Quezon City. You are a proud member of the CPF community that includes students from Brgy. Balite in Montalban, Brgy. Guitnangbayan and Brgy. Banaba in San Mateo, Brgy. Sto. Rosario - Silangan in Pateros, Brgy. Sicsican in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, and Brgy. Mapalad in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija.
Our education is imbued with the spirit of the SFIC Sisters, now on its 78th year in the Philippines. These Franciscan Sisters run the St. Joseph's College of Quezon City, which is celebrating its 76th anniversary this schoolyear. The congregation's charism for the poor and mission in educational service form the foundation of CPF'S own vision and mission.
We hope that in your four years in CPF, you could catch the CPF spirit' We are full of optimism that you can grow to be loving and concerned family members, to be thinking and responsible citizens of the community, and that you could be your own person - aware of your strengths and intelligences, but brave enough to realize and/or overcome your weaknesses. We trust that you could rise up and respond to the challenges of our time. The future, if only we hold hands and each do our share in making the world a better place to live in, is bright.
But all of us should exercise responsibility. Surely, before or even while we respond to the big problems of the community and of society, let us show that we know how to be responsible in our own little worlds - in our homes and in our school.
This student manual is a guide for each student to know the vision, mission and values which the school upholds, the expected behavior of students to make the school a conducive place for learning and living, and consequences of actions that are not socially healthy.
Please read and reread the CPF Student Manual. And try to live the CPF way.
May the Lord be with us in our search for knowledge and truth!
In behalf of the Board of Trustees,
Fleur de Lys C. Cupino
Executive Director
